Not too incredibly much done today - mostly little fiddly stuff with the types and stuff. I did however implement a bunch of the "easy" instructions in the VM. They're not entirely done (no metamethod support yet), but they're done enough to execute very simple programs, with a little hardwiring of the VM state (and just stepping through it in the debugger ).
I also found Bugzilla 282, which is seriously pissing me off. I don't want to have to revert to 0.162, and then depend on Walter's whims as to whether the bug will be fixed in the next 10 updates or so. "Oh, that's a D 2.0 feature" This also means that the current contents of the repo don't compile under 0.163.
Lastly, I made a change to the spec concerning the "is" operator. It's now legal to use it on any datatype, and just like in D, it'll act as [in]equality for non-reference types.
Tomorrow is a long day at work, so there might not be much progress. |
