I look through the readme but couldn't find anything about these options. Other then the fact that i'm assumeing they stop framedrop. My question is what is the difference between it being on and hard and is this useful for a old cpu. As older cpu's would have framedrop from time to time. Would this help, or just add more pressure onto the cpu makeing it a catch 22. |

With framedrop you can play at faster speeds, etc. I don't know exactly what is the difference, but MPlayer have this option so I included it. If it is important for you try reading the MPlayer docs. |

Let's say you have a video with 24 frames per second and you play this on an old computer that is too slow.
By default, mplayer will play *all* frames and video will be slow.
With this option, mplayer will drop frames it can't decode quickly enough and the video will be like it only had 20 frames per second or so : it will "jump". |
