I've submitted the player to download.com, but since I'm using the free subscription it takes a month to update the listing. In other words if I update the version there today it will be visible for the users after a month. I've submitted version 0.88 some time ago but it still says version 0.86... And the other sites they just leech from download.com
Thank you for your offer to help, I really appreciate it.

In fact I don't care. I am writing the player for myself. But, of course, I share it with the rest of the world, and of course, I will be happy if I can make it useful for more people than just me, this is why I add feature requests that I don't need myself...
If you wish to help, please use your energy for something more relevant than piece of stupid software (read/watch this: http://www.dsource.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2242). I can't understand why people are wasting their lives with such things like free bios campaigns and similar nonsense (like writing players )...
Although if you insist to waste your time with this and you have some skills in graphics design you could make a logo for the player. If you want to submit the player to some web site feel free to do so. I'm maintaining the download.com listing, for anywhere else you are welcome. If you want to do something else with the player and you don't feel right read the license hahahaha.

I used to have a web site with good design and everything... I just don't care anymore. I don't wish to waste my time with that stuff... I wish in fact but then later it gives me feeling of dissatisfaction... And I understand you don't like the web page, I don't like it myself, but what more you can have on the screenshots? There is nothing more in the player to show, except if you want to show your favorite movie Anyway if you want to make something like fan page for the player, feel free to do so. I will link it here (if it has no google ads and firefox with googlebar ads)... And there you could put whatever screenshots and attractive stuff you like
Thank you again for your interest |

Ok, i just finished something:
The new logo, i think is self-explanatory how was made, i called that ''metamorphose'' :
If you want and can replace the actual home page with this i will be glad to upload all the files and send it to you, if not it's ok i will mantain that page as a rulesPlayer fan page like you suggested.
Thanks again for rulesPlayer 0.94!!! _________________ RulesPlayer addict

Thank you for your effort. The page you've created looks really nice.
The only thing I don't like is this:
Quote: | Copyright Bobef © 2007 - All rights reserved |
I don't want any copyright
... And the FAQ link is pointing to the readme.txt, but there is no faq in the readme
I don't mind replacing the actual home page with this one. I don't want to maintain it though, so if it is OK for you, I will link to your page and call it something like "official rulesplayer home page", plus I will redirect the rulesplayer link at my homepage (http://www.lessequal.com) to yours. I will continue to update the dsource page and keep it simple and ugly as it is, but providing any necessary information if you want to include it on the "offical page".
And about the logo - I don't like the small "rr" logo, because without the above explanation there is no connection with rulesplayer (something like "rp" makes more sense). But I really like the whole "rules rr Player" logo with the reflection. It is simple and nice. If you agree and make some version of it with rounded corners or something, so it would look nice on black background, we can replace the current logo with it and include it in the official distribution. But before that, before labeling a logo "official", I would like to see more proposals, maybe from different people, to be sure it is something I can live with for long time
Thank you again |

I like it too. We should put in the next release.
But in the mean time, for anyone who wants to change the logo, take whatever picture, rename it to "logo" and replace the file in rulesplayer\images |

I like the original ones you posted on Jan 24, the best. The simpler background looks nicer.
I'm curious to know what software you use to render these? |
