It's an odd solution because what you're doing is quite odd (changing a textbox as you're typing into it).

That is the kind of guy that I am, odd. Smile

On that note, here is a little joke...

Quote:
"A Boy Named Odd"

Once there was a boy named Odd.

Because of his name, Odd was the kid of jokes his whole
life. Even though he grew up to be a sucsessful lawyer.

"Hey, what's your name?"

"Odd"

"Hey, that's odd!"

Everyone joked.

When Odd was old and about to die, he said, "People have
been teasing me my whole life, and I don't want them doing
it after I am dead, so I don't want my name printed on my
tombstone."

After Odd died, people saw his blank tombstone and said,
"That's odd!"

Back to reality...

What I am doing is trying to emulate cache typing. So, if someone has already entered the Contact name, it should fill it for the user and if it is the correct name, then the user would go to the next textbox.

Chris,

I saw your post and I am lost with all of that. But let me give it a try and I'll let you know if I need more help.

thanks.

I think I've done something similar and the textChanged event worked; it doesn't tell you the key, but all I needed was to see what text was already in the box.
