Is it supposed to be possible to nest layouts?
I created a simple form with a dock-fill top-level widget, and a dock-left Panel. Then I put a single dock-top button in the Panel.
But the dock-fill item at the form level expands to fill the form.
When I tried the same thing with a GroupBox on the it worked ok.
Is this proper behavior? It seems difficult to do very complicated resizeable layouts if you can't use Panels (or something else) to nest layouts. |

Try adding the dock-left panel before the dock-fill widget. Yes I know its nit-picky, but if I remember right that will make it work. _________________ Chris Nicholson-Sauls |

You can nest layouts. The way it determines the scope of docked controls is simply the z-order. You can right-click on the controls in Entice and change the z-order; by using Send to Back, for example. The initial order of adding the controls is how the z-order is first determined, which is where csauls' response comes from, which works fine too. |

Thanks folks. Send-to-back on the fill control did the trick! |
