Hello.

This IDE seems great, but where are all the docs?

For example, I couldn't get syntax coloring to work, so all I have at the moment is a fancy text editor Embarassed

Best regards,

Did you look at the project page?

If you can't get syntax coloring to work on a D file, I'm assuming the plugin probably isn't installed at all. Are you able to create a new D project?

The docs are, like docs for most open-source projects, somewhere between limited and nonexistent, so those wiki links are about the best there is. However, Descent is a port of JDT, so in many cases, the JDT docs will suffice.

It turned out I have configured Eclipse to use the wrong (1.4) java runtime (I have 2 installed on my machine). Embarassed

In java 1.4, Descent installs correctly, but doesn't work at all. Confused

Problem solved, thanks to everyone for their response! Very Happy

It's already in the docs:

Very Important: you will need Java 1.5 or greater.
