I've noticed that if I put my website in the Website field in my profile, it doesn't "stick." Fortunately, it does stick when I put it in my signature. |

I tried adding a custom avatar to my profile by all three methods. Only the last works. I don't know if you actually want to store avatars on your site (as you would if the first two options worked), but if you don't, you should remove those options from the form.
Upload Avatar from your machine:
PHP error shows up and it doesn't work
Upload Avatar from a URL:
Acts like it works, but the avatar never
Link to off-site Avatar:
This way works. Yay! |

Justin,
Your www site is fixed. When you first posted this, I tried it from the administrator's console, but was as unsuccessful as you were. This time, I just did an update query on the users table in mysql.
As for the avatars, I'm not sure what's going on, but I did set a limit of 6KB. If yours is more, that may be why it was blocked.

Thanks, the website is there now.
My avatar is 1.28 KB (1310 bytes). I don't mind linking to it from my other website. I just thought it was strange that the upload methods didn't work. If I try to give it a .jpg or .png that's the wrong dimensions, it tells me that's the problem. If I give it an image with the correct dimensions, it just doesn't work.
Maybe phpbb just doesn't like my profile.
This is the error message for uploading from my hard drive:

HTML is turned off due to the nasty hacks people can do by embedding script in their sigs and posts. If you want a URL, you can (I think) surround it in
jcc7 has done the URL thing. _________________ I really like the vest! |

Actually, I just put the unadorned url in there and phpBB seemed to figure out what I was going for. |
