|
|
Hi,
I'm using dsss 0.78, DMD 1.042 and Phobos.
Suddenly out of the blue my rebuild fails giving this strange error:
Code: |
D:\Programming\Projects\DProjects\MonsterTraining>dsss build littleMonster\mainMonster.d => executeMonster.exe
OPTLINK (R) for Win32 Release 8.00.1

dsss_objs\D\littleMonster-mainMonster.obj(littleMonster-mainMonster)
Error 42: Symbol Undefined

, aborting.

When I remove my import-statement for "monster.monster" in mainMonster.d the rebuild process succeeds - I only have the monster-import inside mainMonster.d, no Monster-functionality is used elsewhere. |

Strange...
When compiling "monster-0.11\examples\phobos" no error occurs, but
When compiling "monster-0.11\tests\phobos" the same error occurs like above.
Compiled with DSSS 0.78, DMD 1.042, Phobos
Everything fresh reinstalled to avoid setup-problems. |

Okay, I figured out, that it has something to do with the obj-files created by DSSS. Bus since I'm to new to all that I'm not able so point directly to the solution.
Is this forum still alive? |

Finally I've solved the problem, but I'm not sure what I have made wrong to make my problems occur.
The solution:
- I've deinstalled monster from dsss with "dsss uninstall monster-0.11"
- I've downloaded the svn trunk-version with "svn co https://monster-script.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/monster-script/trunk"
- Then I've renamed the folder from monster-0.11 to monster0_11, simply to avoid folder-character problems (this is the only difference to the first time)
- Finally I've compiled the monster core like written in the readme.txt with "dsss build", installed it with "dsss install", followed by compiling the phobos samples.
- works
