When I build using dsss I get a compiler error of the form

Code:
source.d(123):  some error

The part before the colon is underlined like a link, but clicking on it doesn't take me to the line in question. And I don't see any command in the menus like "go to next build error".

In Visual Studio usually hitting F8 repeatedly will take you 1-by-1 through your build errors. This is very handy. Surely there's some way to accomplish this in Descent. So what is it?

Someone else told me that links doesn't work with dsss. They work for me, I tried to reproduce it but just couldn't. Sad

There's an open ticket for this:

http://www.dsource.org/projects/descent/ticket/186

If you can attach a little project to it and the way you configure your external tool for dsss, I'll try to reproduce it.

As for F8 in Visual Studio, the external tool is external to Descent, there's no way to do it. I need to make a specialized builder for it, but other things are more fun to do. Razz

It's Windows 7.
The command setup I used was dsss.exe for the command and
"build ${res_name}" for the arguments.

Thanks for looking into it.

I used the eclipse C++ version that was being offered up for download as of yesterday.
And just downloaded the descent plugin yesterday as well.

Still trying to reproduce it...

What's in your project? Do you have a "src" folder and everything's inside it, or everything's inside the project folder?

I get the link too, but it works.

Ah, I think I know what is it. Do you have many projects open? Are you compiling the one that's not in bold (if you have the D perspective on)? If yes, than that's the problem. I'm using the active project (in bold) to search the files, I'll check if I can get the project the tool is run against to start the search from there.
