Is there a way I can watch a forum and be notified when someone posts a new topic? I already get emailed when someone responds to one of my threads, but not for new posts.

Thanks!

The closest thing that I know of is the RSS feed for the forums: http://www.dprogramming.com/dnews/dsource/newsfeed.php. I follow this feed in Google Reader, but there are other options, too. I don't know if there's a free service that anyone offers to send you an e-mail for new feed items, but I suspect that someone might offer such a service.

I don't remember whose forum it is, but at least one of the project forums at DSource has a "sticky" topic that asks for new topics to be mentioned in that topic so that the moderator can have a heads-up to new posts. But I don't know how well people follow that suggestion.

Ok, I think I set up something that you can use to just track just Yage using Yahoo! Pipes: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=ccfd5d01a0392eecfcc95e8d9d05bf0b

On that page, it looks like you can use "More Options" / "Results by Email or Phone" to get an e-mail alert. (The RSS feed for the "pipe" is http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=ccfd5d01a0392eecfcc95e8d9d05bf0b&_render=rss.)

I hope that helps.

By the way, here are some examples of "sticky" topics that ask for new topics to be mentioned in that topic:

(I think my RSS idea will work better, but I wanted to provide some examples of the "sticky" topic approach.)
