Hello everyone,
I wanted to point out a few things I noticed while trying to build the GtkD library on Windows.
1. You need bud / build, it does not work with dsss.
2. Go into the 'src\build' directory, and execute 'build gtkd.brf'.
3. Copy the generated library (~13MB) into your library path; or into the folder of your executable and add 'gtkd.lib' as an compiler argument.
You might notice that GtkD does not build with the newest D2 version because "typedef is decrepated, use alias instead." You need to replace every occurence of "typedef" with "alias" in every gtkD sourcefile. I suggest Notepad++; it has a build-in Search&Replace function for directories with subdirectories.
Last but not least, in Toolbar.d(108), the class Toolbar implements two interfaces which both implement a 'public gtkOrientation getOrientation()' method. An easy fix for the ambiguety is to simply add a 'public gtkOrientation getOrientation() ' method to the Toolbar class. I am not sure how this affects gtkD, this might be the wrong thing to do. So far my small executable compiled just fine, but it doesn't have a toolbar, so yeah.
I hope this can save someone else a lot of headaches and 3+h of his life.
Greetings,
