Quote: | Developer's Image Library (DevIL) is a programmer's library to develop applications with very powerful image loading capabilities, yet is easy for a developer to learn and use. Ultimate control of images is left to the developer, so unnecessary conversions, etc. are not performed. DevIL utilizes a simple, yet powerful, syntax. DevIL can load, save, convert, manipulate, filter and display a wide variety of image formats. |
I've made Derelict-compliant DevIL bindings. Download them from:
http://codeinsane.info/code/DevIL.zip
I'd be happy if these became a part of Derelict
The bindings work fine on Windows, I've happily used them to load some textures into OpenGL. I've compiled their sources on FC2 Linux as well, though I haven't done any testing. The .zip contains .bat files that use Build to create the .lib's. Sorry, there are no makefiles for Linux. |

Thanks much! I'm going to hold off adding it to svn until after I've completed everything I need to do ro the next release archive. I won't be getting any work done on Derelict for at least the next week, but once I do get the docs finished and some samples knocked up, I'll put out Release 2, copy a snapshot of the trunk to the tags directory, and then I'll add DevIL in. |
