So I tried doing a DSSS-style GDC env install, just like in the video tutorial. It's a clean install on a clean (new) 32-bit ubuntu-machine... (Yes, I did an "apt-get install build-essential".) I get the following error:

while running "dsss net install gdc-gcc-4.1". I've install binary called "dsss-0.72.1-gdc-gnuWlinux-x86.tar.gz".
Any hints? I'd really like to get a GDC working- I've never been able to.
Next step: building a GDC cross-compiler for ARM architecture and building Tango with it. (I'll probably be looking for hints and help with this one later on, as well.)
Thanks,

Can you try installing GDC from binary or source using the packages available from the SourceForge site? Use DSSS from then on. |

Historically, I haven't had any luck installing GDC by hand... so I guess I could try again, but I really don't want to. Part of this "experiment" is to see if I can get several entirely DSSS-managed environments running (I'm thinking different DSSS installs to different locations which don't know about each other) I want one DMD, one GDC, and one GDC ARM cross compiler. My life is made 100% easier if I can get DSSS to do it, instead of having to screw around with each one on each machine I want to use.
