|

Hey out there,
I just upgraded Kubuntu to 7.10 (Gutsy) and it of course upgraded my Eclipse version to 3.2, which doesn't work with Descent!
Does anyone
1) know if it's possible to rollback eclipse somehow to a prev version (will older deb's even work w/ gutsy? where would I find them? Should I just pull down bin's?)
2) When Descent is likely to work on Eclipse 3.2?
Thanks In Advance,

Can't you upgrade instead to Eclipse 3.2.1 or 3.3 |

We'll check it out and get it working (hopefully) for the next release, but since we've been making a lot of changes, not exactly sure when that'll be (probably around the end of the year some time).
I'd suggest upgrading to Eclipse 3.3, since Descent seems to work fine in 3.3. I don't use Linux, though, so I don't know. |

I use Ubuntu 8.04, which comes with Eclipse 3.2.2. I recommend an upgrade to Hardy--it has really nice new software and works great after I fixed a missing symlink problem on the liveCD (bad iso/burn I guess).
So far descent is really nice after I figured out how to use it and install it. I'm still not sure what is wrong with auto-complete for local classes, it works but I can't see the text of each field. It's there, but invisible . |

Can you report a bug with a sample source file and where it does that? |
