|
|
Hello,
[rant]
First of all, I'd like to say hello to you guys and say that I acknowledge what you're doing. D's great, same goes to Descent and I would like to help you. When I have more time, as well as more fluency in bigger Java projects, I'd like to contribute; at the moment, I'll try to be useful by submitting a bug.

I'd rate as a serious defect, because it interferes with other plugins' behaviour.
Description:
The "Run as -> D application" option in the context menu is added for all possible files. Then, when activating the action "Run" when editing a file of different project (Java or C++), the action "Run as D application" (registered for all files, so also C++/Java sources) may be run instead of running the project' default run configuration.
Reproduce:
* Get an Eclipse distribution with Descent and JDT/CDT installed at the same time.
* Create a Java/C++ project with one file with any content.
* Open the file in default editor.
* Right-click the editor, highlight "Run as"
The possibility "D application" will be available.
* In the editor, press Ctrl+F11 or the Run icon from the toolbar.
It is likely that "Run as D application will be - incorrectly - selected.
Known workaround:
Tab: Window->Preferences->Run/Debug->Launching
Set "Launch operation radio" to "Always launch the previously launched application".
This remaps Ctrl+F11 and Run icon, making the bug a level less annoying.
Hope to see it fixed soon.
Best regards & h.t.h,
