Running the demos\gtk\HelloWorld.exe program on MS Windows XP whenever I right click on the program icon in the Windows task bar the program displays a constant stream of warning messages to the console:
(HelloWorld.exe:23040): GLib-WARNING **: g_main_context_check() called recursively from within a source's check() or prepare() member.
(HelloWorld.exe:23040): GLib-WARNING **: g_main_context_prepare() called recursively from within a source's check() or prepare() member.
Is this normal and is there an easy work around for it ? |

It's possibly a gtk bug, witch version are you using? |

I'm using gtk runtime v2.16.6 (file gtk2-runtime-2.16.6-2010-02-21-ash.exe) from the link on the project Wiki page for Windows users.
I have also tried v2.18.7 from the binary download on http://www.gtk.org/download-windows.html and it behaves the same.
The warning message happens for every demo application (when right button clicking on the icon on the task bar), not just the HelloWorld application. |

Also happens on C demo programs so it looks like this is a gtk library problem and not a gtkD problem.
Looking further I found this is gtk+ bug 552041 and has been present for quite some time and unfixed. I guess there are not many Windows users who right click on the task bar. |
