Hi guys!

Trying to use the Derelict BASS port from p0nce without success, i have rewritten the BASS binding for Derelict2 using D2.

Consider it as a very early and maybe buggy port. I have taken some part (especially the functions and basstypes.d) from the p0nce source (merci mec!).I have successfully played a xm file Smile

Any chance that DerelictBASS gets merged into Derelict trunk soon ?

I hadn't considered it. If someone wants to put together a pull request, though, I suppose I'll take it.

I'm not all for it, I believe BASS has a different licensing scheme that others library in Derelict: you can't make commercial products without paying a license.

Hi,

what happened to FMod anyway ? It was part of Derelict2, and I though I saw it in Derelect3 ( definitely not sure ) ?

Reason I am asking is, that I will require Sound Spectrum Analysis in near future. I know that FMod can do and OpenAL can't ( without additional FFT ). Apparently BASS can do as well. So, either of them, FMod / BASS would be nice. Right now I don't care about licenses, still studying.

I simply haven't gotten around to porting it to Derelict3 yet.

@Aldacroin: I would be glad to port the FMOD loader to Derelict3.

@ParticlePeter: you can already use DerelictBASS anyway, it's just not an official loader.

Anyway, I found an old and horrible code to make a FFT here:

If you use SDL_mixer, you'll be able to register a callback and eventually use your own FFT function (but I agree using FMOD or BASS feels way nicer).

O.K. thanks, I'll give BASS a try as long as FMOD isn't part of derelict3. Ponce, I prefere spending more time with creating graphics and less in understanding "horrible" FFT code Smile
