I've been inactive on using DLF since December. Looks like some great progress has been taking place. Thanks.
I was hoping you could review and enhance how tooltips are handled for a list control. It has odd behavior which makes it less than fully functional.

Also, it only seems to work once. It doesn't seem to "track" as the mouse moves to different ListBox entries. | Vathix wrote:
DFL just fires the hover event when receiving the WM_MOUSEHOVER message. Maybe you have to work around it with a timer or something..

Looking at it a bit longer, the ToolTip seems to work this way ... it stays visible until the mouse cursor touches it. If the ToolTip appears below the ListBox entry, it is 'dismissed' when you move the mouse lower and actually touch the tooltip. If you move up, the previous ToolTip stays visible. |
This tutorial demonstrates this behavior:

The normal behavior for the Win32 native api and MFC is that new tooltips show up as you move the mouse over different list items ... tracking.
In the previous thread, you suggested a user implemented timer ... I suppose to dismiss the tooltip and 're-arm' it for another onhover to be allowed to show up. Can you incorporate this kind of logic inside the tip class? |

All right, I'll look into it more. Glad to have you back.
