I like mailing lists. Perhaps not as accessible as the forum for others to read, but IMO easier to use for members.

Also, I think it's nice to have the possibility to send the svn diffs to a svn mailinglist (per project, of course). When there's several contributors to a project, the need for better auditing of changes might arise. Especially since log messages very often are way too short (zero length, that is).

Talk to me more about mailing lists. How do I implement them? I've never used them before.

On the diffs issue, if you read the Subversion Book at http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ and especially Ch3 Sec5 http://svnbook.red-bean.com/svnbook/book.html#svn-ch-3-sect-5, you can see that doing updates and conflict resolution before committing your changes is a good way of achieving the same thing (I think).
