I'd also like to mention that the fact that MiniD has a sane license (allows redistribution) and mdcl is a single binary makes it great fr writing cross-platform shell scripts. I'm using MiniD as my & ...

Whatever works for you ;-P. But you don't have to do it that way; you can just have two JVMs and launch Eclipse using the 32-bit one. Also, Descent hasn't been tested with 3.4 at all I think (I use 3. ...

It has nothing to do with Descent; Eclipse doesn't work right on 64-bit Windows. I tried it with Eclipse 3.4 + JDT and PDE on Windows Server 2003 64-bit and it crashed every few minutes on the 64-bit ...

I'm assuming the docs you read were:

http://www.dsource.org/projects/descent/wiki/CompilingPrograms

Where exactly are you having trouble with them?

Unfortunately, in this version of Descent, ...

I actually recently ran into this error in Descent while I was working on the unittest component. It took me about 3 hours to track down. The problem is that the launching code passes an empty environ ...

You can always write it with tabs & then format. Or write it with tabs & manually replace a tab with four spaces. I agree, hardware tabs are the devil's work (and so do the Python & YA ...

Another internationalization feature we're thinking about is translating the entire plugin into different languages (i.e. the interface, error messages, etc.) Would you be interested in contr ...

It's probably not the Eclipse version or JRE, since that's my setup, too.
